    Providing paid sick leave for employees can help reduce the chances that employees will come to work while sick. This benefits employers by reducing the possible spread of contagious diseases to other employees and ensuring that employees are not trying to work when they should be home recovering. Allowing employees to take paid time off to obtain timely medical care helps employees address their health needs promptly and return to work sooner.
    This sick leave policy could be used in conjunction with a separate FMLA policy to establish differences between the two types of leave (and when one type of leave would be used over the other). Use this template to develop a sick leave policy for your organization that works best for your organization.
