HR Strange But True!
June 10, 2003
We all know that HR is never dull. But sometimes it can get downright strange...

"President Bush" spoke to Harvard University seniors last week and gave them the facts of life: "The chances of landing a job are as good as finding a weapon of mass destruction in Iraq."

All right, it wasn't the real President Bush but the comedian Will Ferrell, who frequently imitated Bush during his seven seasons on Saturday Night Live.

Ferrell, speaking in Bush's Texas drawl and using a facial expression described by the Harvard Crimson student newspaper as one of "dumbstruck stupor," also said: "Harvard University is one of the finest in the land. [Your] exuberance exudes a confident confidence of a bygone era."

The comedian stepped out of character long enough to make some predictions about the seniors' future.

"Four of you will go on to major careers in the porno industry," he said. "I'm not trying to be funny. It's just a statistical fact."
