A new website was launched earlier this month to entertain men while they're at work. The website is named after the iconic smoking jacket worn by the company's founder, the same man who promises on the website's welcome video that "next to the mansion, it's the best hangout on the planet."
That’s right, Playboy is behind the new website thesmokingjacket.com. While the website is marketed as “safe for work,” it’s still not exactly a PG version.
Unlike its sister site, vistors should not expect nude models. However, the website, which contains content from short humorous articles to links to other popular sites, is still racy.
"Cube dwellers and office drones alike shall rejoice at this fun, sexy, satirical antidote to the drudgery of the work day," said Playboy editorial director Jimmy Jellinek.
Jellinek went on to explain how their new website is trying to tap into a different market by targeting men “when they’re sitting at their desk, not working, sending e-mails to their friends.” Not something most employers want to hear!
