HR Strange But True!
March 04, 2005

Nine people in a North Haven, Connecticut, office were taken to the hospital Thursday after being overcome by the odor of decomposing fruit found in a co-worker's desk, according to a local television station, WTNH-TV in New Haven.

The incident occurred in an office of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. A company spokesman said the floor where the desk was located would be evacuated until the odor subsided. There was no word today on the status of the employees who were taken to the hospital.
