Chocoholics beware; you may not want to read this SBT. According to a recent study, bored office workers may be indulging a little too much in chocolate and other tasty treats.


According to a recent survey compiled by, nine out of ten female office workers confessed to snacking at their desks. Nearly half of those women estimated that they consumed between 650 and 750 calories a day on just snacks.

What’s the most popular snack? No surprise here, it’s chocolate.

Half of the respondents blamed their snacking on boredom, while a tenth said it was to be sociable.

Editor's Note: The survey was based on the opinions of 1,947 women who have a full-time job in an office environment.
