Business and Legal Reports' Employee Training Center has won a 2009 CODiE Award in the category of Best Workforce Training Solution.
The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) presents the CODiE Awards, now in their 24th year. The awards recognize outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information, and education technology industries. SIIA says it received more than 850 nominations for this year's awards.
Launched in 2008, the Employee Training Center is a web-based training program that offers safety and HR-related training courses, testing, and documentation of employee training sessions. There are 60 training courses on HR topics and more than 50 safety-related courses. Currently, a course is completed on the site every 30 seconds.
The 2009 CODiE Awards were presented May 5, 2009, in San Francisco. The awards' unusual name, "CODiE," is derived from the word "code" and alludes to the program's basis in the software industry.
