Vietnam Vets/ Veterans
National Summary
Federal government contractors and subcontractors are required to make an effort to employ and promote veterans. The law applies to any employer with a covered federal contract or subcontract for the furnishing of supplies or services, including construction, and for the use of real or personal property, including lease arrangements. In addition, employers with covered contracts must file an annual “Federal Contractor Veterans' Employment Report” (Form VETS-100 or VETS-100A) with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) each year, and include specific requested information.
