Tuition assistance is a popular benefit that may qualify for tax exemption if provided under an
Internal Revenue Code Sec. 127
educational assistance program (EAP) or if the education program being paid for is directly work related. Employers may provide up to $5,250 per year in tax-free education assistance under an EAP including assistance for graduate level courses.
