“Texas offers great economic opportunities to young adults just starting out in their careers,” Governor Rick Perry said. “This new resource is the latest of our many efforts to prepare our future workforce for competition in the global marketplace.”
“Offering real-world work experience is the best way to identify, train and prepare the leaders of the future workforce,” said TWC Chairman Tom Pauken. “We are pleased to be able to help employers find good trainees by providing this free resource.”
Employers can post available internships on TexasInternship.jobs in any of the following ways:
- Register at WorkInTexas.com and post paid internships.
- Go to the DE website, http://US.jobs, click on the “Include My Jobs” feature under“Employers,” and use the word “internship” in the job title or job description.
- If you are a member of DirectEmployers Association, you may also post openings on the association’s online job board and use the word “internship” in the job title or job description.
“We encourage employers and students to take advantage of this service and begin making the mutually beneficial career connections that internships provide,” said TWC Commissioner Representing the Public Andres Alcantar.
