Spitzer is investigating the insurance industry's practices. The company declined
to say how the employees failed to cooperate with Spitzer's office.
"Our conclusion that these employees failed fully to cooperate with the
New York attorney general gives us no alternative but to part ways with them,"
says Joshua King, spokesperson for The Hartford. "There is simply no room
for compromise regarding The Hartford's commitment to cooperate."
The employees worked in the company's property-casualty operations in Los Angeles.
