To increase this percentage, the order directs several federal agencies to design model recruitment and hiring strategies for agencies looking to increase their employment of people with disabilities. The order also calls for mandatory training programs for both human resources personnel and hiring managers on the employment of individuals with disabilities.
Additionally, the order seeks to improve the retention and return to work of federal workers with disabilities.
