No Rise in Mileage Reimbursement for Fed Workers

Mileage reimbursement for federal workers who use their own private vehicles on official business will not increase this year, reports FederalNewsRadio.

Citing a General Services Administration bulletin that reports a review by GSA indicates no raise in reimbursement is warranted based on consumer price increase data.

Interestingly, the report cites that reimbursement increases will also not apply to private motorcycles—and privately owned aircraft.

If GSA reconsiders due to rising fuel costs, the agency says it will post the change in the Federal Register and on its website. The current rate is 51¢ per mile.
