The heads of the organization try their best to make the workplace family friendly—they even bring their own children and dog to work at times. And the “company culture” is wellness-oriented, with a swimming pool and tennis and basketball courts. There's even an organic vegetable patch at the facility, as well as health-conscious cooks. Does this sound like a place you'd like to work?

The workplace leaders, POTUS and FLOTUS, better known as the president of the United States and the first lady of the United States, even admit that they see more of each other now that they “work at home” than they did when she was in the corporate world and he was a legislator, according to an article on, which reported on Michelle Obama inviting executive staff's children in for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on April 22.

House economic adviser Austan Goolsbee, whose daughter attended the event, said the Obama White House is about as family-friendly as it could be." "You've got to do a lot of work, but they have a lot of events like this," he added, as the children watched the Marine One helicopter depart the grounds. But he also says that the long hours and hectic schedule would not help any of the employees qualify for “parent of the year” honors. So the White House is a nice place to work, that is, if you don't mind lots of travel—and lots of media scrutiny.
