HR Strange But True!
October 14, 2010

While some airline passengers tune out in-flight safety demonstrations, patrons on one airline are tuning in. How do the flight attendants get passengers’ attention? They “just dance.”

A Philippine airline, Cebu Pacific, is changing their routine when it comes to safety demonstrations. Passengers are still given important safety information, but in two rounds. The first time is the regular pre-flight demonstration, but the second is set to popular music like Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance.”

The flight attendants live up to the hit pop song, and show passengers the typical safety protocols, such as the correct way to buckle a seatbelt, through a choreographed routine.

One patron caught the act on video and posted the routine on YouTube. The clip became viral and the new dancing safety demonstration received positive and negative feedback, but we think you should decide for yourself.
