HR Strange But True!
June 08, 2006

If you thought your last job interview was uncomfortable, why not try a one-on-one, virtual job interview with "Entourage" super agent Ari Gold?

To promote the third season of the hip series, HBO has created an interactive website where fans can experience what it might be like to apply for a job with the sharp-tongued Gold, played by actor Jeremy Piven.

"Entourage" is a comedic look at the life of rising young actor Vincent Chase, his brother, and two friends, all of whom recently arrived in Hollywood from Queens. Gold is the ruthless agent trying to make Chase a star.

At the website, you must complete a brief application before Gold's assistant, Lloyd, takes you to Gold's office. Lloyd warns you not to show your nervousness ("Picture him in a bright red thong -- the way I do.").

The impatient Gold alternately asks questions or launches into brief diatribes.

You might be asked, "What makes you so special?" or "What do you think of my boy, Vinnie Chase?"

Take too long to type in your response, and you may incur the wrath of Gold: "Don't think -- thinking is bad for your complexion" or "This is your finest hour, and you just choked."

You may get hired at the end of the interview but Gold makes it clear that you might not be happy you made the cut.

The new season of "Entourage" begins 10 p.m. Sunday, June 11, on HBO.
