HR Strange But True!
January 26, 2006

Lee Iacocca, the former Chrysler CEO who used to constantly butt heads with the UAW, has revealed a dark secret: He is himself a union member.

Iacocca, who has done more than 60 commercials for Chrysler, is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).

"I hate to admit this, I need it like a hole in the head, but I get a pension from the Screen Actor's Guild," Iacocca told television station WDIV-Local 4 in Detroit.

Iacocca's SAG pension reportedly is about $350 per month.

The 80-year-old Iacocca recently filmed a commercial with rapper Snoop Dogg. Iacocca admitted he had no idea who Snoop Dogg was until his 14-year-old granddaughter filled him in, the station reported.
