HR Strange But True!
October 27, 2011

Once again, the Centers for Disease Control suggests you celebrate October 31 by sending co-workers and friends October 31 e-cards—to scare them into saying “boo” to the flu.

What’s more exciting is that this year, you can send the flu prevention cards as “greetings on the go” to iPhones.

Evidently, last year’s Halloween e-cards were a success; the old favorites—“Don’t Get Tricked by the Flu” and “Don’t Get Spooked by the Flu”—are back.

New cards add music to scenes such as Frankenstein and Dracula getting vaccinated. There are also several new cards specifically addressing hand washing as the perfect flu prevention.

If the economy has your company cutting back on holiday celebrations, the good news is that sending the flu cards is free—yippee! See the cards on the CDC's website.
